Science Week 2024 – Skittle Rainbows
The theme for science week was ‘Science and Time’ . Primary 3 carried out an experiment to record how how the temperature of water affects the speed of dissolving . They discovered that hot water made the skittles dissolved much faster . What super scientists !
Science Week in P3b!
We started off science week with a bang ! Thank you to Dr. Anwar who came to visit P3b to explain all about how science is used in her job as a phlebotomist. We loved it and learned so much about science in the world of work !
Reading For The Stars In P3b! 🌟
The boys and girls had a wonderful World Book Day on Thursday . We started off sharing our favourite book and then had a fantastic ‘Book Chat’ with our friends in P3a . The Reading Committee shared two wonderful books with us for the ‘St.Marks ‘ book World Cup ! We ended the day creating our own reading stars !

Marvellous Measurement in P3b!
Primary 3 enjoyed their active learning stations this week on measurement using standard units . They found the length of different books in the library corner , solved real life measurement problems and converted measurements from centimetres into metres and centimetres . Fantastic work boys and girls !
P3’s Food bank Appeal
For the last 4 weeks Primary 3 have been collecting in the St.Mark’s for our local foodbank in Barrhead . We have donated an AMAZING total of 111.3 kg ! Well done boys and girls 🤩😀
Creating our own rhythms !
Primary 3 enjoyed learning about the new rhythm ( ta-a) in music this week and creating their own rhythms .They sounded fantastic !
Toasting Marshmallows and football skills !
What a wonderful week we have had in P3b . The boys and girls build tripods and toasted marshmallows in Forest School . They also persevered with their football and team work skills in P.E with the students from St. Luke’s .

Balancing fun in P3b
Primary 3 enjoyed a visit from pupils in St.Luke’s who led the P.E session and taught us all about how to create different balances ! What great fun we had !
