It’s been such a positive start to P5 with lots of determination, curiosity and kindness on display. I’ve been so impressed with the pupils and I’m certain it’s going to be a really exciting year! If any of the children have any successes or achievements outside of school please encourage them to bring in any certificates, pictures etc or to come in and tell the class about them this year. I’d love to keep sharing a picture of our learners and their huge range of talents. Also, I would encourage the children to bring in a book from home if they are reading one so that we can get to know each others’ reading habits and broaden our horizons of what books and authors might excite us. Of course, there are always books available in our school library too! There will be no homework issued until the week following our Meet the Teacher afternoon and I will have gone through a week’s worth of homework before then with the children so that they are completely familiar with expectations and parents/carers can see what the activities involve. Our PE slot will be on a Friday this year to begin with and further details will be shared about additional outdoor learning activities and days.
