Hello everyone
Upcoming Events
Please have a look at the parent calendar, available on our Netherlee Website, to see all the dates and times of the various events coming up. This link will take you straight there https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/er/sandnc/calendar. If you are having problems viewing the calendar, you can change the view by selecting view week/month/agenda at the top right and change to view by agenda where you will then see a list of events.
Medically Prescribed Diet Records
The catering staff are currently updating their medically prescribed diet records. If your child has any allergies or requires a medically prescribed diet, please can you fill in and return the form by Friday 4th October. This form will replace the previous version so please fill in the attached form even if you have already sent one in and we will update our system. As always please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have any queries.
Pupil Parliament Day of Action Thursday 3rd October
Our Pupil Parliament is a fantastic way to give pupils in Netherlee a voice. Regular opportunities to share opinions, discuss issues and pose questions in the classroom and at our lunch time ‘House Surgeries’ have resulted in many voices being heard and actioned! In response to some of the ideas and suggestions from pupils when creating our Eco Action Plan, we are excited to share that every pupil will participate in our ‘Plant a Bulb‘ day to further improve our school gardens and playgrounds. We look forward to see lots of growth throughout the year and a burst of colour in Spring! All children should come to school in their full PE uniform that day please.
Open Classrooms
We are very much looking forward to opening our doors and welcoming parents/carers into school on Monday 7th October for Open Classrooms. We invite P1-4 parents between 9.30am and 10.00am and ask that you enter via the Clarkston Road Gate. P5-7 parents, we look forward to welcoming you between 11.15am and 11.145am and we ask you to enter and exit via the main front door at reception. We look forward to seeing you then if you are able to join us.
We Need You!
We are always looking for new ways to involve our parents, carers and families in our school and nursery events. To support us with gathering a list of regular volunteers we would like to share this new volunteers Microsoft Form with you. For example, some of our regular opportunities involve local walks and upcoming events include helping in our new school library. If you would be happy to volunteer at one of our upcoming or regular events then please complete the form below and we will be in touch with you. There are also QR codes located at the school office and near to our school gates where you can access the form too. Alternatively, our volunteers form can be found on our school and nursery website. Thank you so much for your continued support. We really appreciate it!

A number of our families will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah next week (Wednesday 2- Friday 4 October) and the P7 Diversity Leadership group would like to mark this occasion with a short presentation, activities in classes/ playrooms and offer a small tasting of apples and honey on Friday 4 October. We have taken into account all of the children’s allergy information however, if anything has changed, can we please ask that you let the school office know by Thursday 3 October by emailing SchoolMail@netherlee.e-renfrew.sch.uk. We hope our families who are celebrating this festival have a special family time!
