Parent Council Meeting Highlights

Pupil Parliament Day of Climate Action
A huge thank you to Helen Cross, Angela Smith (RHS) and the P7 Eco and Sustainability Group for organising this whole school community event. This week all classes had the opportunity to learn about the importance of biodiversity and the impact humans can have on our environment. Our Day of Climate Action on Thursday had a focus on adding plant life and flowers to our greenspaces and playgrounds to provide habitats for pollinators and insects. This will help restore the balance of biodiversity in our school community areas. The whole team did an amazing job and enjoyed the different aspects of learning about this context. Open Classrooms Reminder
We are very much looking forward to welcoming parents/carers into school on Monday 7th October for Open Classrooms. We invite P1-4 parents between 9.30am and 10.00am and ask that you enter via the Clarkston Road Gate. P5-7 parents, we look forward to welcoming you between 11.15am and 11.45am and we ask you to enter and exit via the main front door at reception. We look forward to seeing you then if you are able to join us.

Primary 2b New Arrival Coming Soon
As we are sure you will be aware, Mrs Anderson is expecting her baby very soon J. Her last day working with your child’s class will be Thursday 10th October.
We’re delighted to welcome Miss Campbell back to Netherlee and she will be your child’s class teacher from Monday 21st October. Please be assured that Miss Campbell will meet with Mrs Anderson, who will pass on all the relevant information relating to your child, the class and their learning. This is a very exciting time for Mrs Anderson and we wish her all the very best for this wonderful new chapter in her life!
