School Newsletter 01.11.24

Hello everyone,

Upcoming Events
Please have a look at the parent calendar, available on our Netherlee Website, to see all the dates and times of the various events coming up.  This link will take you straight there https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/er/sandnc/calendar.

Dogs
A reminder please to request that dogs are kept on a lead if bringing them to the gates and surrounding areas at pick up and drop off times.  Please could we ask that all dogs are kept back from the school gates. This is to help keep everyone safe and also to recognise that some children and adults may be a little scared of dogs that are off the lead.  Many thanks for your help and understanding with this.

Winter Fayre – Thursday 28th November 6.30pm-8pm
The nights are drawing in and we are all busy getting ready for this year’s Winter Fayre. Make sure you save the date, it’s sure to be a wonderful night. There are still some stalls available, if you or anyone you know is interested in having a stall please contact the school office.

Bits and Bobs
A plea for ‘Bits and Bobs’ to help support play and learning experiences. Do you have any of these items lurking in toy boxes and cupboards? Having a clear out soon? We would gladly accept: cloth measuring tapes, wooden toy food, toy kitchen equipment, baby doll clothes.

Our P7 Librarians are looking to expand some of the sections in our school library. If you are having a clear out of books and comics and would like to donate them to the school, please send them in on Friday 8th November and Friday 15th November. The librarians will collect them from classrooms. Thanks for your help with this!

Celebrating Diwali
We hope all our families who celebrate Diwali had a lovely time celebrating with family. You and your child can find more about Diwali here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/watch/lets-celebrate-diwali.
