School Aims

At Netherlee Primary School we aim to provide a secure and welcoming environment where all aspects of the child’s learning are actively encouraged and developed.

Our main aims are to:

  • create an environment where children are happy and eager to learn, feel valued, supported, confident and secure
  • educate the whole child by making provision for learning based on the developmental needs of each individual child
  • ensure that suitable resources are available to carry out the planned curriculum to challenge and consolidate every child’s progress
  • maintain an environment which provides equal opportunities for all
  • promote independence and self-discipline
  • develop positive attitudes of self-respect, value the needs and opinions of others and respect property and the environment
  • foster in our pupils interests which lead to a fuller life in future years
  • to develop good relationships within our community
