Hello everyone,
We hope you all had a really lovely break and enjoyed the sunshine!
With that in mind, we would like to remind parents and carers about keeping your child safe at nursery during sunny weather.
Keeping Safe in the Sun
Preparing for sunnier days ahead, could parents/families please provide a named tube/bottle of sun protection cream that can be kept in nursery? We would appreciate if parents/carers could please do the first application of sun protection cream before dropping off at nursery and nursery staff will reapply cream thereafter.
Upcoming Events
Please have a look at the parent calendar, available on our Netherlee Website, to see all the dates and times of the various events coming up. This link will take you straight there https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/er/sandnc/calendar.
Stay and Play
Sign in sheets will be available from Monday 28th April for our last ‘Stay and Play’ sessions of 24/25. Our ‘Stay and Play’ sessions will be during week beginning 12th May. ‘Stay and Play’ can be a really special time where the focus is on your nursery child and their experience and relationships. (Max of 2 adults per child)
Parent Appointments
Please keep your eyes peeled in next week’s newsletter for more information about how to sign up for the forthcoming parent meetings.
Parent Council – Amendments to Constitution
In their last meeting on 26 March 2025, the Parent Council agreed some changes to their constitution. These are now available for view by the parent forum for 20 school days before taking effect. The amendments are highlighted as “track changes” to the existing document. This is available on the Parent Council page of the school website: Parent Council Constitution
If any parents/carers of the school or nursery have any questions or comments regarding the constitutional amendments, please email these before the end of the day on Wednesday 28 May 2025 to the Parent Council on netherleeparentcouncil@gmail.com
If no responses are received, the amendments to the constitution will take effect from the following day.
As always, we are always here to help in any way we can, whether that be about your own child or a more general matter in relation to the school or nursery. We are also always looking for suggestions and new ideas so please don’t hesitate to get in touch at any time.
Have a wonderful weekend.
