Hello everyone,
Another busy week here at Netherlee Nursery! The children have enjoyed playing outside with their friends and have been very excited over the icy weather. They have been discussing how it feels and noticing the frost on the ground and trees. Brrr!
Upcoming Events
Please have a look at the parent calendar, available on our Netherlee Website, to see all the dates and times of the various events coming up. This link will take you straight there https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/er/sandnc/calendar.
Stay and Play Sessions
Stay and Play sessions will take place next week (week beginning Monday 22nd January). These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to play together with your child and see our wonderful spaces and experiences. We kindly ask that a maximum of two adults accompany each child. We look forward to welcoming you to our nursery. If you have not managed to put your name down for a suitable day/time, please let a member of staff know at drop off/collection.
Participatory Budgeting
We are excited to share that Netherlee Primary School and Nursery have been given £1000 for a local community project. We would like parents to get involved in helping us decide what to spend our money on. If you would like to get involved in supporting decisions on how the funds will be used or if you have any suggestions, please contact the nursery on nurserymail@netherlee.e-renfrew.sch.uk by Monday 22nd January 1pm. From Tuesday 23rd, you will have the chance to cast your vote on the final ideas generated via a QR code during drop off/ collection or via a link to a Microsoft Form which will be emailed to you. Thank-you for your support.
Nursery Applications
Please note that the closing date for nursery applications for session 24/25 is 31st January. Applications received after this time will be considered late. The following link will take you to the application form – Nursery Application Form for 24/25
Recycled Donations
We are always on the lookout for opportunities to make use of any old items that may otherwise be thrown away. These are items which we can use to support and enhance the children’s play and learning experiences in the nursery. We would therefore kindly ask for any of the following items to enhance our role play spaces if you have them and are just about to dispose of them. Thank you.
- Kitchen items and utensils (e.g. spoons, forks, whisks, kettle, pots, pans, salt/herb shakers, metal or plastic plates and bowls)
- Old telephone (landline)
- Comics, recipe books and magazines
- Old ornaments or clocks
- Dress up items (e.g. hats, scarves, old jewellery etc.)
Have a wonderful weekend.
