Hello everyone,

It has been a very busy and full week of learning and fun at nursery!

Upcoming Events
Please have a look at the parent calendar, available on our Netherlee Website, to see all the dates and times of the various events coming up.  This link will take you straight there https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/er/sandnc/calendar.

Festive Stay, Play and Sing Along Session!
We’re excited to invite you to our special Festive Stay and Play session! This joyful event will be filled with opportunities for you to join your child in a range of festive, creative learning experiences — from sparkly crafts to seasonal sensory play. We ask that only one ‘grown up’ per family comes along to these sessions to keep our environment safe, relaxed and fun. To finish, we’ll come together for a cheerful sing-along to celebrate the season. So warm up those vocal cords and get ready to sing with us as we spread some holiday cheer! Please find the dates and times for your child’s group below:

Nursery Singalong Tuesday 9th December Groups 10.30-11.30am: Deers, Owls, Rabbits, Hedgehogs and Badgers

Nursery Singalong Wednesday 10th December Groups 10.30-11.30am: Otters, Foxes, Squirrels & Butterflies

Nursery Festive Party
The nursery will be having a Christmas party on Tuesday 16th December between 9.30 and 11.30am. If your child does not usually attend on a Tuesday as part of their agreed pattern of days, they are very welcome to come along at 9.30am and be collected by 11.30am on that day. We have heard that there may be a ‘special visitor’ on that day too – Ho Ho Ho!

PTA: Cauliflower Cards Customer Update
Thank you to the PTA volunteers who have ensured Cauliflower Cards orders were processed and distributed in a timely manner. Also, thank you again to the office and teaching staff for your support.

After an earlier start with our Cauliflower designs this year, we anticipated an earlier delivery of our orders. However, due to Cauliflower Cards contracting a new courier company, our forms were collected much later than planned. However, we hope that festive greeting cards were still in time for sending out some good cheer.

We are aware that one box of mugs got damaged during transit. This is the first time we have experienced this with a mug order. Please do email us at netherleepta@gmail.com if you have received a broken mug.

The brand new playing card production line has run slower than anticipated this year and as a result Cauliflower Cards have decided to dispatch all other products ahead of the playing cards so that we can distribute them without further delay. As a result the playing cards will be delivered next week and we will sort and distribute these as soon as we receive it.

We can recommend Cauliflower Cards for their exceptional customer service and quality products. On behalf of our supplier we ask that you accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by these unexpected production and courier delays.

We want to thank each and everyone who have supported our fundraising efforts with this project.

Thank you.

Voluntary Contributions to Nursery Fund
Voluntary contributions to our nursery fund play a valuable role in enriching the experiences we can offer the children. While core activities are always provided, these contributions help us go further—supporting special resources, workshops, outings, and creative projects that spark curiosity and make learning even more exciting. Every contribution, no matter the size, directly benefits the children by providing opportunities that enhance their development and enjoyment at nursery. We appreciate your involvement and engagement with all aspects of nursery life and look forward to working with you again this year. Contributions can be made via ParentPay.  Thank you so much to those families who have already donated.

Achievements
We love celebrating the children’s achievements both in nursery and at home, and we’d be delighted if you could share special moments from outside of nursery too. Whether it’s learning a new skill, showing kindness, or simply making you proud, these experiences help us to build a fuller picture of your child’s development. Please feel free to send in photos, notes, or stories so we can share their successes with the nursery community and celebrate them together. Click on the Achievements link below to share achievements with us.

As always, we are always here to help in any way we can, whether that be about your own child or a more general matter in relation to the school or nursery.  We are also always looking for suggestions and new ideas so please don’t hesitate to get in touch at any time.

Have a wonderful weekend.
