P7c Class Blog

P7c have been really enjoying Bike-ability this term, the class have been practising every week to ensure they are using their skills to stay safe on the roads.“ We learned how to signal when turning and to make sure we look before and after we signal and turn”, Subhan. “When we did Bike-ability we managed to improve our teamwork, speed control and caution”, Umaiza.

We all attended the St Cadoc’s Dance-a-Thon, it was an excellent opportunity to be active and to raise funds for the school. We are full of anticipation for Ninja Warrior.

Some of the pupils in P7c attended the badminton try outs and were successful in becoming part of the St Cadoc’s School Badminton Team.

We have been working very hard to develop their athletics and fitness abilities during this current PE block.

P7c pupils have also been leading the prayers at The St Cadoc’s Rosary Club, it has been wonderful to see friends and families come to support us each Tuesday morning.

P7c have been demonstrating effective leadership skills while supporting staff with P2 monitoring and also wet play monitoring.

Many of the class auditioned for talent show we were happy to both take part and support their peers throughout the audition process and performance which was attended by the upper school pupils.

In IDL P7c have been learning how German bombs impacted British houses. We have researched Germany including organisations such as, the Luftwaffe, Nazi Party and Hitler Youth. We have learned more about the Blitz (Blitzkrieg) and researched the impact that the bombs had on Blitz Street. P7c have used their Numeracy and Mathematical knowledge to participate in a rationing lesson. There have been links with literacy and the IDL topic when we enjoyed getting into character and writing a diary entry based one of the main characters from the class novel. We also developing comprehension skills through reading about the Holocaust.

P7c were delighted to have the opportunity to attend the school Halloween disco, “It has been a few years but finally we had an amazing well deserved Halloween disco”, Maia.

In creative arts P7c have been learning about Diwali and drawing Ganesh with Ms Sinha.
