Primary 5a have settled well into their new class. It has been a very quick few weeks and we have been involved in many activities to get to know the other members of our class. We now really feel like Primary 5a!!
In Numeracy, we have been extending our knowledge on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We have been continually practising our tables and learning lots of mathematical terminology to help with more challenging word problems.
In writing, we have concentrated on ‘Poetry’. We have written ‘Name’ and ‘Friendship’ poems. We are now more able to list the success criteria which should be included when writing an acrostic poem.
In Social studies, we have been learning about our country by labelling cities. We are now going to focus on Scottish landscapes.
We have really enjoyed linking our drama lessons with Health and Wellbeing. We worked together on ‘Trust’ and ‘Respect’. We mirrored our partners and discussed qualities that make us good friends.
Primary 5a are really looking forward to taking part in the ‘Talent’ Competition on St Cadoc’s Day. We can’t wait to show off our talents to the rest of the school. Good luck everyone!!!
