The Lovely Month of May

Well, the weather may not have been great, but we all have had a glorious month of May in Primary 5/6!

We began our final term by writing a story, about a lost kite. We then wrote reports on The Senses (which we covered in Science) and researched and wrote about peaceful activists who tried to change peoples’ lives for the better. We also wrote Spring poems, following a visit to Cadoc Wood. We investigated the correct use of pronouns and apostrophes too. We are receiving an input in Mandarin, which is quite challenging, but we are getting there! (Ni Hao!)

In Maths, we have been focussing on the link between fractions, decimals and percentages. We can now see that ¾ = 0.75= 75/100 = 75%. Pretty impressive, eh? We have also investigated the circle and all its magical properties!

Some of our classmates delivered an interesting presentation about Eid. As it is May, we are saying a decade of the Rosary each week as well as a daily Hail Mary.

We thought about our wishes for our planet on Earth Day and have been exploring, ‘What Matters to Me.’
We created our own Superheroes and also looked at our own real life heroes!
We are looking forward to sharing our learning with you on 14th June at 2.15pm!

We are also looking forward to our last few weeks in Primary 5/6, before beginning a new journey next session!

As always, check out Twitter for pictures of what we are getting up to!
