May Class Blog

Hello! This is what P3a have to say about what they learned about in May:

Sareen- We wrote Autobiographies which are stories all about you. I wrote about starting school, my hobbies and interests and my friends.

Elias- We have been learning division and playing Hit the Button on the Chromebooks. I have also been learning x6 and x7.

Naomi- This month we drew Sunflowers. We used oil pastels and we had to blend them together. We copied Vincent Van Gogh.

Georgia- We learned our 6 times table. It was a bit tricky. We have been finding tadpoles in the river at the forest.

Nadine- We created family trees. I used a picture of a tree and I added all my family members and shared it with the class. We also started learning out 7 times table. We have been redrafting our autobiography too.

Zahra- We went to mass in St Cadoc’s church. We got to meet Canon Eddie and he told us facts about the church. He decided he wanted to a priest when he was 10 years old. We have been practising for sports day in PE.

Mia- Louise, Elias and I decorated a card for Mrs Reid who is retiring. Our whole class had to sign it.

Louise- When we went to the forest we went fishing. We used the nets and our group found tadpoles.

Savyasachi- We have been learning about bar charts in numeracy. Bar charts show how much people like things, present information. We also used tally marks. Also we went to the forest and made wands.

Rory- We have been learning about safety online and not talking to strangers. If somebody asked you to play and you didn’t know them you’d ask a parent or say no.

Grace- In maths we have been learning fractions. We also started a new topic this term and it is what matters to me. We did a couple things liked to our topic like writing our autobiography.

Elisa- We have been reading How to Train your Dragon. Hiccups dad decided to unbanish him and Hiccup talked to the dragon.

Parisa- In PE we have been learning to play rounder’s. If you run to a base and they put the ball in before you are out, but if you get a home run you get 5 points. For homework instead of a maths sheet we have been going on Education City.

Adam- We have been doing portraits. On our portrait we drew a picture of ourselves and then drew all out favourite things and we were inspired by Romero Britto.

Charlotte- We have started to learn our 7 times table. We have been looking at bar charts, working out peoples hair colour and favourite drinks.

Michael- My group did some tiling in numeracy and had to create patterns and when we had to draw it it was quite tricky.

Francesca- When we went to the forest we found some water slugs and snails. I also found a broken piece of pottery.

Carson- Last week we got a new maths mosaic which was Buzz Lightyear, the questions were division and a new mindfulness.

Andrew- I was a star writer for my autobiography and I got star of the week for amazing blending with the oil pastels.

Kye- We did French with Miss Hutton and we were learning to read sentences in French and work out peoples age and the colour of their calculator.

Matthew- My group in maths are using a new textbook and we have been doing fractions questions and it was a bit tricky.
