In Forest School this week, we cooked baked potatoes. They were delicious!
As part of our maths lessons, we took part in a mathematical treasure hunt. We had to calculate the answer which would led us to the next question if answered correctly. Good job! 👏🏻
Today we began our last ever block of Forest School! In preparation for cooking a meal next week, we started by discussing what was meant by food miles. We then used the Chromebooks to research how many miles each item would take to get to Barrhead and marked these countries on a map.
In Digital Technology, we started the lesson by planning our ideas for designing a game. Once confident with our plan, we then programmed our game using Scratch. At the end of the lesson, we got to try out our peers games and gave them feedback. So much creativity was shown throughout, well done!
P7 had a great time at St Luke’s participating in their transition days. The pupils followed their timetable over the two days to allow them to try out all the different subjects St Luke’s have to offer. 📚✏️
With the exciting news of a new Pope, we spent time researching to find out more information and facts about Pope Leo XIV. We also spoke about reliable sources such as the Vatican News.
We are enjoying our Athletics Lessons planned by Mr Farrell. This week we practiced our jumping and running, throwing and finished with a relay race! ☀️
We had a great morning up at St Luke’s participating in the mini olympics event! Well done everyone pushing themselves out of their comfort zone to meet new people!
We were very lucky to have a visit from Bishop John as we prepare for our confirmation and he even let us try on some of his uniform!
