Primary 7 were working on their mental maths strategies today by participating in active maths. We used a wide range of activities and worked in groups to keep our brains actively engaged. 

Primary 7 have started Flexible Fridays today. Flexible Friday is when the children have set targets to complete and bonus activities. They have the choice when to complete their tasks and it covers a range of curricular areas.

The boys and girls have enjoyed this because they liked having the choice in their learning.

Today in class we were defining the term parenthesis and accurately using them in our work. We learnt that parenthesis can be shown using brackets, dashes or commas. Great work primary 7!

Primary 7 went head to head in a class battle and marble run today to celebrate National Maths week. It was an intense relay full of challenging questions and bonus features that we had to try to complete. We worked together as a team to complete as many questions and build a marble run

. 

Today we were completing some problem solving challenges.

We were burning off lots of energy in P.E. today. We were using our teamwork and communication skills to play some great hockey games. There were some spectacular goals.

Today in Primary 7, we were visited by the Campus Cop to learn more about Online Safety.  We were learning about how to make sure we stay safe when we are online. Also, we talked about what the differences are between the online and offline world are.

Primary 7 were completing some problem solving challenges today. They had to use their team work and communication skills to solve the problem using a variety of strategies.  Primary 7 were joined by by Mr McAllister and two S6 pupils from Williamwood to observe their choice of strategies.

Octahedrons were using concrete materials to locate and identify decimal fractions on a number line. Well done!
