Thanks to all the parents who came along to our Learning Workshop this morning. We had a great time showing off our Scratch coding skills, and we hope you learned something about the world of programming while you were here! Please ask to see your child’s profile blog to find out more about their coding abilities.

Shape Poetry
Throughout January we have been creating shape poems. Our first poems all related to moving up or down, so we spoke about staircases, balloons, the Sun, lifts and slides! Following in from that we discussed a variety of nouns that we could write about. We hope you like our poems about houses, televisions, flags and trees.

We’ll update you with some of our learning over the coming year, and to start here is a photo of a class display. Mrs Houston showed us how to create owl drawings and looked at tone and colour. We wrote the acrostic poems on antiqued paper to accompany the owls.
