We have been reading Fantastic Mr Fox.

Emma likes Mrs Fox and the 4 babies. The story sounds a bit scary because the 3 farmers are trying to kill the foxes.

Harry likes Farmer Bean because he is the tallest. It’s quite exciting because we don’t know if the foxes are going to be safe enough.

Peter likes Mr Fox because he is cool. He likes the book because he likes foxes.

Miss Grant helped Mekhi, Harris and Azaan to build towers with different materials. They used foam dominoes and plastic cups to build strong towers. Harris made the highest tower but then it collapsed! Mekhi said ‘My tower was quite big and it was 82cm high’

Harris said ‘Mine was over 1 metre.’  Azaan enjoyed building his tower. He likes making things with Lego.

4 groups used different materials to build towers.

Olivia, Thomas, Chloe and Ailsa built a tower with books. It measured 59cm.

Elise, Sahitya, Caleb and Jaida built a tower with plastic cups. The tower was 1 metre high.

Holly, Lewis, Aritro and Soha built a lego tower. It broke at 22cm.

Ailsa, Chloe, Olivia and Thomas used giant dominoes to build a tower. It was 71cm high.

The tallest tower was the plastic cups (1 metre) then giant dominoes 71cm, then books 59cm and the smallest tower was the lego one (22cm)

Ailsa said, ‘I loved the challenge. I really want to do more challenges. They are so much fun.’
