Sahitya learned about how paper can be recycled to make new paper.
Soha knows that we put plastic and glass into the green recycling bin.
Chloe says that by recycling we have a happy earth.
The children were experimenting with different substances to see if they dissolve in water. Olivia C knows that dissolving means it disappears.
The flour did not dissolve. It sank to the bottom. The water is cloudy.
The sugar dissolved.
The sand sank to the bottom. It did not dissolve. The water is quite clear.
The coffee dissolved and turned the water dark brown.
The paper clip did not dissolve. It sank to the bottom. We could see some oxygen bubbles.

Thomas, Elise, Sahitya and Lewis played hockey with Mrs Dallas. Sahitya scored the most goals.
Think Chloe is tired out after another busy week. She is having a rest whilst drawing.

Harris and Peter played hockey. Then they beat Mrs Dallas at football. Mrs Dallas was tired out afterwards!

We have been learning about Climate Zones in class, for example, Tropical, Arctic and temperate. We have looked at the different habitats and learned about their features and differences. We also found out which animals live in theses habitats. We used an atlas to learn about Continents and Oceans.
The children have been using their reading books to practise different reading skills. They have been learning how to answer comprehension questions in sentences and sequence events.
The Campus Cop Angela Mitchell came to visit our class.
Aritro said ‘She told us not to cross the roads when the cars come.’
Jaida said ‘You don’t talk to strangers unless you know who it is.’
Caleb said ‘She told us about Stranger Danger. You have to yell, run and tell.’
The children chose shapes and drew around them. They had to make a picture of a castle or a tower. They followed Paul Klee’s style which uses mainly red, blue and yellow. They were allowed to mix colours. At the same time they listened to relaxing music while they painted.

The class made paper aeroplanes. We took them outside and tested them. Peter’s plane went the furthest. It flew 10 metres!
