One of the best things about playing in the woods is the opportunity for meaningful co-operation. Beauty, wonder, practicality and excitement Children need freedom to explore, to invent, to play. A cosy haven for anyone who wants rest or shelter. The walk to and from the woods is as much a part of the experience as being there. - “Hide and seek is my favourite.”
- “I’ll just try it out, in fact I’ll just stay here, it’s nice and comfy.”

Thanks to Gillian, Leanne and the children at Hazeldene for sharing their Woodland Warriors adventure with us.
It was great to see an established forest school approach in a beautiful setting with so much potential for play.
The photographs capture an insight into how the children spend thier time. Their approach to teamwork is continuing to develop and children are clearly having fun whilst developing their skills.
