This week we have been exploring numbers, we even tried addition calculations using our counting bears.
This helps us to become more familiar with numbers as we also talk about why numbers are important and what they represent. We are always looking out for numbers in the world around us.
We have lots of lovely clothes that have been left behind. They have been sorted and are all nameless!
If you are missing anything, sweatshirts, polo shirts and joggers, come and have a rummage to see if any belong to your child.
Using cars and ramps we experimented with forces. We used inserts of different materials in the ramps to compare speed and friction for example, card, carpet and sandpaper!
We are celebrating 4 birthdays in the nursery today! The beautiful fruit platter that was kindly donated went down a storm! 🧡
One of our children spent a long time building this ‘Elsa Tower’. He had to keep rebuilding, making it stronger, using problem and engineering skills to make the tower stay upright and be taller than him! Fantastic work!
Today the Duplo bricks were added to the block area. The conversations and group work that this generated was fascinating to watch.
The children worked together in little groups sharing their ideas, others worked independently and then joined their creations together. There was a lovely buzz in the area as everyone focused on their play.
We had great fun over in the school playground working out!
