Today we visited the kitchen and learned how to use the claw and bridge hold when chopping. We made a yummy fruit smoothie! We all tried it and most of us enjoyed drinking it! Itโs great to try new things.
We then designed posters to advertise what we made.
Today we visited the kitchen for the first time in Primary 2. We learned how to chop using ย โthe clawโ. ๐ชย We chopped a range of fruits and vegetables. We then rated them using smiley faces to say if we liked the food item, it was okay or if we disliked it. Lots of us tried something new today.
We discussed our bonfire / fire work experiences. We watched a wonderful firework display on YouTube and discussed the different sounds, smells, sights and tastes we might be experience. We then wrote poems using our fabulous ideas.

One of our visiting ministers, Pauline, visited us to teach us about harvest.
She talked about types of foods that are harvested and we shared what foods we like and disliked. She told us the importance of loving and caring for everyone and it is important to help others and we can do that by contributing to our school food bank. She shared the story of โRuth and Boazโ and we all joined in by rolling food tin cans to each other ย when heard the word โrollโ. ย The last person collected the tin cans which will be donated to our food bank.
In PE we are learning about different ball skills. We are focusing on how to stop a ball using either the sole or the inside of our foot. As well as how to pass the ball sensibly to our friend by kicking it. ย โฝ๏ธ
R created his own counting game this morning. He designed a rainbow board where players walked along the rainbow, hoping to get to the pot of gold. The first to reach the gold was the winner. ๐๐
He enjoyed showing his game to his friends and they enjoyed playing it. ๐
