Forest School – session 4

The rain didn’t dampen our moods on Friday as we had lots of fun in the forest!

Some of us made bird feed by slicing apples, spreading butter and sprinkling seeds on them. We hope the birds enjoyed their treat!

Some of us made a fire and got to drink hot chocolate. Yum!

We also played in the mud kitchen,  made dens, climbed trees and explored the forest.

At the end, we had some quiet time. We found a space on our own to relax, we closed our eyes and listened carefully to the sounds around us.

Forest School – session 3

On Friday we all really enjoyed being back outdoors!

We split into 3 groups. Some of us made woodland decorations by peeling sticks, colouring them in and tying string. Some of us made letters, some made hanging decorations and we even had a fishing rod. The children used their imaginations and were very creative!

Some of us enjoying playing in the woods, climbing trees, making dens and playing games.

Some of us were involved in making a fire and drank hot chocolate. We then connected with nature and went searching for interesting objects for show and tell. Jacob found the tiniest snail on a leaf which we found amazing!

Over the next 3 weeks, all children will get the opportunity to help make a fire and drink not chocolate. Yum!
