Sports day fundraiser! πŸπŸ˜„

We had lots of fun taking part in our sports fundraiser, we played rob the nest, disco tig, magic ball and many other fun games organised by our coaches!

The boys and girls also were treated to a pantomime where we watched sleeping beauty! Our favourite parts were seeing a real learning life princess and when the prince saved her! πŸ‘‘

We had a great fundraiser day! Well done boys and girls! 😁

3D Shapes!

We have been learning about 3D shapes and identifying different 3D shapes! The boys and girls made 3D shape towers and spoke about the different 3D shapes they used!

We also sorted everyday objects into different 3D shapes. The boys and girls did very well sorting the objects into the correct shape.

Somewhere over the rainbow…In primary 1.5!

This week we have learned the sound β€˜g’ we have been working on our formations and we have made pots of gold to find at the end of the rainbow.

We have been continuing to explore our continuous provision areas and developing our fine motor skills and team building!

We made umbrellas after learning β€˜u’ sound in phonics. We worked on our fine motor skills by cutting plates, sticking and twisting pipe cleaners. Well Done Primary 1! πŸ˜ƒ

Perfect patterns! 🌟

Primary 1.5 have been working hard on patterns in class. We used 2D shapes to create patterns and coloured them using pattern also.

The boys and girls have also been working on movement and balance in PE and have really enjoyed working with P2 to create movement sequences!

In phonics we have been learning some new sounds, this week we learned r, m and d. We have been rainbow writing, handwriting and creating the sounds in the areas also!

This morning we worked hard on phonics and afterwards had a brain break with some dinosaur stomping! Well Done boys and girls!

Phonics fun and more! πŸ˜ƒ

Primary 1.5 have been working hard to write and make words using our sounds we have learned! We have then been working in pairs to read each other’s words!

This week we learned curly c and kicking k and the children have been working hard in the areas and at the teaching table on these sounds! We have practised our letter formations, played splat to identify our sounds and generated lots of words beginning with c and k. We even used curly c to make some words on our whiteboards!

Primary 1.5 have worked hard on another new sound this week which is e. We made eggs that start with e and practised our letter formations in the areas!

The boys and girls took part in their first whole school assembly today where we took time to think about our late Queen Elizabeth. The boys and girls told lovely stories about the Queen and we drew some lovely corgis. Well Done P1.5!
