We have been enjoying learning in 2022. The children wanted to learn about the Solar System and Planet Earth. We have been drawing Earth orbiting the sun and making rockets on peg boards with elastic bands. Â We have also been learning about maps and globes to look at our planet, this fits in with our new Mearns Master project Campaigners where we will be planning and making a safe route and trip for our cuddly toys.
We set off on our park mission to discover what push and pull forces were at work in the park!
We did an experiment with Skittles. First we learned scientists need to be organised with equipment .
Next we put skittles around a plate. Then we covered the skittles with water.
Then we watched what happened. We discovered that skittles are made of sugar and they have all the same amount of sugar so the colours did not mix. Â We made a Skittle rainbow!
