Coding in 2.8
In class we have been reading The BFG and we learned that the BFG catches dreams. Today we decided to create our own dreams using Scratch. We will be using the animation we created to help us write some imaginative stories this week!
Writing!
On Friday we did some writing about our summer holidays. We enjoyed sharing our experiences and discussing how they made us feel.
First Day of P2!
We had a fantastic start to primary 2 yesterday. We enjoyed telling Mrs Simpson all about ourselves and loved exploring our new classroom. Lots more pictures to come on our blog of all of the wonderful learning we will be doing in p2!

Arya’s and Theo’s dads have been so busy making playground furniture for us. Thank you so very much. We love it!
Noah and the Ark
We have been learning about bible stories. Today’s was Noah and the Ark. We drew pictures, made a jigsaw and played pairs.
Number target challenge
Today’s Blue target task was to find different ways of making a given number. The children worked out they could use the number strategies we have been learning in class to help with this. We used counting in 2’s,5’s and 10’s, doubling and making 10 first. I was super impressed!
