Theo has a fab idea of sorting out our sentence jigsaws into different type of words. We learned about Verbs, Nouns, Adjectives, Start and joining words and position words. He made signs for our boxes. Great idea Theo!
Bug update
Buggy has a new home . We made bug lodges to go into the Nursery bug hotel. Niamh led him into his new lodge!
Child led learning
The class wanted to learn about Bugs! Niamh found a bug and we out it into a magnifying container. We discovered this bug is not a spider as it has only 6 legs. It had three parts which we learned were the head, thorax and abdomen. It also had wings. How exciting!
Eco Garden
We visited the Eco Garden. Miss Trouten’s class have been working so hard to plant and design the lovely garden . We learned about what plants they have planted . Thank you for our visit!
Child led learning at it’s best!
We have been using Kapla, a great resource for building . Some of the children thought they would try and make words and letters with the Kapla today. Great idea😃
Right Angles
We are learning about Right Angles. We learned that these look like an L shape and are 90 degrees. We have had fun making Right Angle eating monsters today! We are going to take them on a Right angle hunt to see if they can eat any 😀
Mearns Masters Campaigners park trip
Well we picked the right day for our park trip☀️

A few plasters required for our cuddly friends but only minor injuries! We have all had a ball.
Show and Tell
The children are loving coming up with ideas for Show and Tell! Thank you for helping them bring things in to show.
Today it was a game that they like to play with their families and what excitement this caused😀 Lots of questions were asked today…

We are also learning about the Moon. We have learned about night, the phases of the Moon and we made the Moon 🌑 with puffy paint We loved getting messy!
