We had a fantastic start to primary 2 yesterday. We enjoyed telling Mrs Simpson all about ourselves and loved exploring our new classroom. Lots more pictures to come on our blog of all of the wonderful learning we will be doing in p2!

All of Primary 1 had so much fun celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee.

Flags and crowns already for our Jubilee celebrations this afternoon. Along with thousands of cakes 🧁 🤣

Arya’s and Theo’s dads have been so busy making playground furniture for us. Thank you so very much. We love it!

We have been learning about bible stories. Today’s was Noah and the Ark. We drew pictures, made a jigsaw and played pairs.

Today’s Blue target task was to find different ways of making a given number. The children worked out they could use the number strategies we have been learning in class to help with this. We used counting in 2’s,5’s and 10’s, doubling and making 10 first. I was super impressed!

Theo has a fab idea of sorting out our sentence jigsaws into different type of words. We learned about Verbs, Nouns, Adjectives, Start and joining words and position words. He made signs for our boxes. Great idea Theo!

We have been using Kapla, a great resource for building . Some of the children thought they would try and make words and letters with the Kapla today. Great idea😃

We are learning about Right Angles. We learned that these look like an L shape and are 90 degrees. We have had fun making Right Angle eating monsters today!  We are going to take them on a Right angle hunt to see if they can eat any 😀
