It was a cold start to our morning today. We went outdoors for P.E, completed our daily mile and ran some relay races.
We have now also changed table to give us the opportunity to work with different members of our class 🙂

We enjoyed our visit to the outdoor classroom where we completed a Health & Wellbeing task. We listened to a story and shared our fears, later drawing these in our jotters. Lots of us were afraid of spiders and the dark! We also discussed what/who helps us if we feel afraid and practised self-regulation strategies to help us feel calm. We will continue to explore our emotions and mindfulness over the coming weeks 🙂
Today was a great day in 3.11!
The children are settling really well into their routine of coming into class, ordering their lunch and beginning their morning starter.
After some reading together, we went on to the pitch for P.E. We started with our daily mile and then some rounders! It was glorious ☀️
After break and some Maths tasks, we carried on with our Designers pathway in Mearns Masters. We learned all about the process of making paper. We sequenced each step and stuck these in our jotters 🙂
This afternoon, we went along to our Makerspace room and were introduced to the ‘Makedo’ tools. We used the safe saw and the roller, cutting out different shapes in cardboard. After we were comfortable with using the tools, we were given measurements to create a bookmark and then cut these out. Mrs Stephenson was so impressed!
We had a lovely first day in Primary 3 🙂
We got to know each other a little better through an Arts & Crafts task, discussed our classroom charter, decided on class jobs and created birthday cards. We even managed to squeeze in our daily mile and a story!
