We loved visiting the nursery last week to read our writing to the children.

KINDNESS SHOWCASE!
Thank you again to everyone who attended our showcase. It was so lovely to share our learning with you all!
Class Auditions for School Talent Show 2023!
On Tuesday we enjoyed watching all of the wonderful talents we have in 2.8! They ranged from beautiful singing to impressive gymnastics to even a very cool card trick. Well done 2.8! I am so proud of you! We are waiting to hear from Mrs Cameron who the P2 finalist will be.
Calderglen School Trip
Today we were learning about the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla. We learned about the royal family and what the coronation ceremony will involve. We also watched a little clip of the coronation in Frozen and we made our very own crowns (just like King Charles)! There was lots of role play going on pretending we were part of the ceremony!
Rainforest Role Play!
Our rainforest role play area is starting to take shape!
Time Capsules
I’m super impressed with how much thought and effort the boys and girls put in to creating their time capsules. I loved the variety of items and the reasons why they were included in their box. Everyone did a great job presenting them to the rest of the class and I couldn’t believe how confident you all were. Great job everyone👍😊!
Rainforest Art!
Last week we were learning about the effect of pattern and shape in art. We decided to create some wonderful art for our rainforest role play area by focusing on patterns and colours that we could see on rainforest animals. Some of us were inspired by the red eyed frog, tiger, cayman, jaguar, parrot, toucan and different snakes. We can’t wait to add them to our role play area😊.
Role Play and Writing!
Yesterday the boys and girls in 2.8 were having lots of imaginative play in our outdoor area. We decided to use it to inspire our story writing and wrote a story today about ‘A Magical Journey’. Great job boys and girls!
Faroe Islands
Eirikur kindly brought in some information about the Faroe Islands which he loved sharing with the class. He brought in a map and even taught us some Faroese words. Thank you Eirkur and well done for being a confident individual!
