This week we have been learning about patterns and symmetry. We went to the woods to make our own symmetrical patterns using natural resources.

Mearns Masters!
On Monday we enjoyed learning the skills of mixing and mashing in the kitchen to make our banana, oat and chocolate chip cookies. There were mixed reviews on the outcome but we had fun making them😂.

Oil Pastel Drawings!
Today we started doing work to redecorate our role play area for Christmas. We used oil pastels to recreate a winter window scene. They look fantastic! Well done boys and girls! Â

Mearns Masters!
Our pizzas we made today in the kitchen. We practised cutting various toppings for our pizza and enjoyed eating them when they were ready.

Outdoor Learning!
We went to the woods this week to collect some materials to help us add. Now we can tackle more challenging calculations. Good job everyone!

First Day of Primary 1!
Class pictures of the first day!

Various play throughout October!
One of our favourite activities during play was creating our very own castle for our role play area. It even turned into a haunted castle for Halloween! It has now turned into a bakery for the next two weeks before it takes on a new theme for Christmas!

Teddy Bears’ Picnic!
A few weeks ago we were learning to write a list using numbers. We had to write a list of everything we needed for our teddy’s bear’s picnic. Unfortunately we had to have it indoors due to the rain but we still had lots of fun in the gym hall eating our snacks, singing songs and playing games. Our favourite game was ‘Teddy Teddy Bear’ instead of ‘Duck Duck Goose’.Â

Library Trip!
Our trip to the library a few weeks ago! We especially loved playing on the magic carpet.
