Outdoor Learning
Today we were learning about minibeasts with Miss Dixon. She was telling us lots of facts about invertebrates and how they use camouflage to survive. We went outside to the transport hub to see if we could find any! Mrs Simpson and Miss Withers weren’t too keen on this part but we had lots of fun searching and even found some beetles and a centipede.

Scavenger Hunt!
Working in partners to hunt for animal footprints and matching them up to the correct animal. We had so much fun!

Den Building!

Our first visit to the MakerSpace!

Happy Easter!
Thank you everyone for taking part in our Easter fun last week. Have a wonderful holiday!

Easter Egg Hunt
Today we read an Easter story and then went on an egg hunt to the Treehouse! We all managed to find a plastic egg. There were lots of happy faces when the Easter bunny turned our eggs into chocolate… it was just like magic! 😋😊🐰🍫

Position and Direction
Recording routes to find all the Easter eggs that the Easter bunny had planted on our grid.

STEM Week
As part of STEM week we had lots of exciting visitors including the beekeepers from St Ninian’s, a dentist and an engineer. We also did some exciting experiments. One of our favourites was making a lava lamp where we explored oil and water and how they react together. See the pictures below!

STEM- Zoology
Miss Dixon kindly told us about her hobby and summer job working at the zoo. We learned some different terminology including habitats, predators and prey. Later, we worked in groups to create an enclosure for a specific animal. We had to think about lots of different factors whilst planning and collecting materials for our enclosures.
