Whitelee Windfarm is the largest windfarm in the United Kingdom. It can power up to 500,000 homes.

We carried out wind sock experiments to highlight the importance of choosing the right location for a windfarm.

The wind turbines were HUGE. It felt like they were going to hit us.

Gillian from Hoots Owls came to reinforce and extend our learning about owls.  At the beginning of Primary 3, we learned about a special owl called Plop.

Gillian was impressed by our knowledge about barn owls. She taught us more interesting facts about different owls.

Ghost the barn owl flew over the top of us! We could not hear her at all. She is silent when flying to help her catch her prey.

We also got the opportunity to fly Ghost to each other.
