Impressive Learning Journey!

I am impressed by all the learning experiences and opportunities that you have participated in. From the amazing models of the Amazonian Rainforest to the extreme habitat of The Polar Lands, you really have been on a journey of discovery.

It is very reassuring to know that you have been revisiting the learning from Hearstart and indeed acquiring new life saving skills and knowledge.

Have a fabulous Spring holiday!

Heartstart – Serious Bleeding

Primary 3.1 have been revising their Heartstart training and remembered how to deal with a conscious casualty and an unconscious casualty. We hope they did their homework and put someone in their family into the recovery position and then helped someone that was bleeding.

James-I liked getting my friends into the recovery position.

Femke-I enjoyed learning how to stop serious bleeding.

Achievements

Well done Freya for passing her dancing exams and receiving 3 certificates and medals. Also for obtaining her level 4 at swimming.

Freya-I found it quite difficult but I really enjoyed it.

Well done to Jessica as well for passing her Spanish module. Felicidades!!!

Jessica-I enjoyed learning Spanish and I am happy I am on level 2.

Polar Lands – Handling Data

I have explored a variety of ways in which data is presented and can ask and answer questions about the information it contains.
MNU 1-20a
I have used a range of ways to collect information and can sort it in a logical, organised and imaginative way using my own and others’ criteria. MNU 1-20b
Using technology and other methods, I can display data simply, clearly and accurately by creating tables, charts and diagrams, using simple labelling and scale. MTH 1-21a

We have been gathering information, recording it in tables then making bar graphs, Venn diagrams and Carroll diagrams. We have also been reading from pictographs and making our own.

We also used a spreadsheet on the computer to input information then make a bar graph.

Luke-It was really fun making my diagram.

Macy-It was really fun making my own diagram and helping my classmates with theirs.
