To celebrate Book Week Scotland 2017, the children had a visit from a wonderful storyteller called Gerry Durkin.

“The start of the show was funny when all the puppets jumped up” – Emily

“The monkey puppet was funny, he pretended to bite my finger” – Jessica
As part of Try a Sport Week, Primary 2.1 were learning about yoga postures, breathing and relaxation techniques.

The children also had an opportunity to learn new skills in Handball. They passed a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team.

“I loved Handball, it was one of the best games ever” – Tom
“I was cheering loud for my team to win” – Blake
“I used different sizes of sticks to make my name” – Ava
“I was collecting leaves, berries and bark to make a Harvest present for the animals” – Archie
“I made a little restaurant for the birds. It had white and red berries” – Amber
