We watched an Author’s Live event featuring the Scottish author and illustrator, Emily MacKenzie. She showed us how to draw one of the characters from her book.
Building Bridges
We designed and built a bridge using lollipop sticks. The bridge had to hold a toy train for 10 seconds.
Jumping gymnasts
We have been learning different kinds of rolls and jumps.
Sports Day Races
Well done to everyone for trying really hard in the races.
Potted Sports
Primary 3.1 enjoyed potted sports.
Making Shaduf’s
We designed and made our own shaduf’s which were used by the Ancient Egyptians to collect water from the Nile.
Robotics
We made robotic lego models by following instructions using an app on the ipad. We had to connect our model to the ipad using WiFi. We then had to program the lego model to make it move.
We have also been practising using our coding skills to make our own Flappy Bird game on the computer.
Making Egyptian Death Masks
We enjoyed making Egyptian death masks.
Problem Solving
We have been solving problems by making models and drawing diagrams to help us.
