Scots Verse
We have been learning new vocabulary, stories and poems this month. We all chose a favourite poem to learn and recite to our class.
Three winners from each class performed confidently to the whole school on the stage with a microphone…
Congratulations to Max, Nina and Miles and well done to the rest of the class who enjoyed exploring scots language.

Beware! There are dinosaurs around the village!
Primary 1 have been learning some intersting vocabulary and facts about the different types of dinosaurs. We have learned about carnivores and herbivores, taken notes while watching and listening for useful information and then made Fact Files to share our learning.

Stick Man Fun and Finger Painting!
 We used a variety of media to express our thoughts about different parts of ‘Stick Man’. Darcy and Emily are using natural materials to create a scene from the story. |
 James and Charlie are learning about printing skills. Printing using the side of their hands and their fingertips. |
 Abigail is pleased with her snowy scene. Olivia is using glue, glitter and cotton wool to add supporting detail to her art. |

 Expressing our thoughts and feelings through art activities. We discussed our interpretation and explained why we used different colours and materials. |
 Making Christmas tree pictures using pine cones for printing. We added a tinsel effect using glitter glue pens. |
