Primary 3 have been working on their Gymnastic skills for the past 4 weeks during indoor P.E sessions with Mr Fry.
We’ve been working on performing different rolls (forward, teddy bear and log), different jumps, (quarter turn, half turn and star) and balances (one foot, two hands and shoulder)
This week we were asked to work as part of a group to make up our own routines. They had to include at least 2 rolls, 2 jumps and 2 balances. We needed to make sure we were all performing at the same time, on a mat, and all moving in different directions.
We found this quite challenging at first, but after a lot of communicating within our groups we were able to come up with a routine.
Afterwards, we were allowed to perform our routines in front of the other groups, who then gave us some useful feedback to help improve our performance next time.
