This week we were learning about World War II and how it started. At first there was a global depression which affected Germany badly and there was little money and hardly any employment. Hitler was a German who was in the Nazi political party, he promised to make Germany great again. After becoming ruler of Germany he invaded Poland, Britain and France came to fight him as they were friends of Poland. This was the start of the world war. The year 1940 was a good year for Germany as they invaded France, Belgium, Holland, Norway and Denmark. Another important event of the war was D Day on the 6^th of June 1944 and the Blitz which was a bombing of Britain and Germany for 70 whole nights!
