Knicker Bocker Glory Delights

This week, in art class, we have been creating a collage. We each made our very own ice-cream sundae collages.

We were able to choose colours to represent our ice-cream flavours. Then we drew our Knicker Bocker Glory glasses. They were special glasses that had long thin stems with wide tops to hold the ice cream.

After our glasses were complete, we ripped up the coloured paper because if you cut it, it won’t look like real ice cream scoops (bet you didn’t know that!). The green paper represented mint flavour with brown spots for the mint choc chips. We used brown paper for the chocolate ice-cream, light pink for strawberry, dark pink for raspberry and white for vanilla. It was like a real life ice-cream shop! We glued the ripped up paper inside the glass. When we were finished gluing, we drew whipped cream, sprinkles, added a cherry and a spoon. All finished!

Our magnificent sundae creations were ready. It was just a shame that we didn’t get to taste them!
