In class, we have been learning about the significance of fasting and discussed ways in which we can help others during the month of Ramadan.
We created a countdown to help us track how many days of fasting are left. We have all been challenged to complete an act of kindness for each day of fasting and will share how we have made others happy in class every morning.
As part of our homework we had to prepare a solo talk about someone or something special to us – Aminah
We enjoyed listening to other peoples solo talk- Laurie
Some people talked about their pets and their families. They even brought in pictures to show the class – Robbie

During our Health and Wellbeing lesson this afternoon we created a kindness web.
We talked about how we are all a community in the classroom and school and how one person’s actions or unkind word can affect everyone else. We passed the cotton wool on to someone by saying kind words to them. Our kindness web was so strong and we got to see what a kind and lovely class we have.Â
It helped us learn about kindness and how we can help each other – Holly
During Science this week we designed and created Balloon Rockets.
First we made a cylinder out of a piece of paper. The we got some string and put it through the paper and tied one end to something in the room while someone in the group held the other end. We then blew up a balloon and pinched the end while we taped the balloon to the paper cylinder. We then launched our rockets.
We talked about Thrust and how it causes our balloons to move forwards. We also discussed how the size of the balloon and the angle of the string could affect how far the balloon went.
I had so much fun – Aminah
I found it very exciting – Kathryn
As part of British Science Week Primary 4 were challenged to create a marble run. They had to use a cardboard box and cardboard struts to create a marble run. The marble had to run for 60 seconds.
It was really fun – Adam W
It was very challenging – Zhang- Francois
It was really nice to take part in – Roan
On Pancake Day we got to make Fairtrade pancakes. We put on lots of Fairtrade toppings like bananas, jam, sugar and honey.
