Walk about, talk about

We worked in groups of 4 or 5 to answer a range of questions about our upcoming study on Space.  Each group had a different coloured pen. This meant we could tell which group was saying what.

We moved around each piece of flip chart paper and wrote as many answers to the question as we could. We could also tick and cross what we agreed and disagreed with.

Here are some of the skills we developed.

‘In the walk about, talk about we had to remember what we already knew about space and complete all the stations.’ – Lewis

‘We used our communication skills during this activity’ – Holly B

‘One of the skills we used was team building because we had to discuss our answers together’ – Devon

‘A skill we worked on was friendship because even if people in our group weren’t our normal friends, we got to know one another and didn’t argue.’ – Jack

‘Some of the skills we developed were making sure everyone was included and decision making.’ – Katelyn

‘One of the other skills we worked on was our listening skills. We had to listen to others when they were speaking to ensure we wrote down the correct thing’ – Abigail

‘To improve our teamwork skills we had to communicate regularly and include everyone and their opinions.’ – Beth C

‘We used our memory to help us come up with what we already knew about space. ‘ – Alisha
