Welcome back to p7B class blog

On monday it was our last p.e session at the high school 🙁

The things we do there are:netball football rugby tennis invasion games and hockey. We also did some literacy nelson comprehension on coral reefs.

This week we all went to different classes to do “I am Me” lessons which is hidden disabilities like blindness and cerebral palsy for anti bullying week.

On Tuesday we made Christmas cards for Whitecraigs care home. We all made different styles of cards and there was a competition where whoever made the best cards gets chosen by Whitecraigs to sell for a fundraiser.

In Maths we worked on money; some people planned a holiday with a partner on a Chromebook and the other task was converting money like pounds to Euros.

On Wednesday some more people went to “I am me” for example 1c and 2b went outside at 11:45 and 2:35. We also had great fun at P.E we did group balances for example a human pyramid, but it was cut short because PC Mitchell [campus cop] to talk about bullying she talked about a boy that took his own life and a girl who tried to and stopped eating.I thought this was sad and so did the rest of the class

On Thursday we were at home because of the strike.

On Friday we did some more money maths on a worksheet until the fire alarm goes off and an eye test [i wasn’t a big fan] then we had an assembly where some people were talking at it in the afternoon we were talking about hate crime as part of I Am Me for anti-bullying week.

After lunch, we went to the woodland with P7a and used our new woodland trolley. There were magnifying glasses and bug catchers. Lots of people found bugs and worms and put them in the bug catchers. People who did not have their woodland kit peeled sticks with potato peelers.

After lunch, we started origami bookmarks, we couldn’t finish them because Mrs Slorach took us to P7A to talk about anti bullying week, as we were the I Am Me ambassadors, which means we get to teach P1-4 about bullying and disabilities you can’t see and showing them what is like to live with them.

On Thursday we started the day by doing some reading for a bit then we did some stuff for our book, Thing Explainer! Its a book that explains things like a smart phone, and puts them into simpler words to help us understand! We made some blueprints for our own thing explainer. After break, some people finished and started on decorating some nets for 3D shapes. We tidied up and Mrs.Hutchinson came in and we started some Spanish. After lunch, we went down to the art room to start drawing a realistic nose but before that we finished our eyes.

On Friday, we did a Book Week quiz and finished our origami bookmarks. We had a prefect meeting, led by the senior prefects. In assembly, some people got achievement certificates. In the afternoon, we planned our I Am Me lessons.
