Friday 24th January 2025

Hi readers,

Welcome to this week’s blog!

Numeracy

One of our focuses for this week was shape! To support our understanding, we looked at a range of national flags. We investigated the following:

  • What shapes can we see
  • How would we describe these shapes
  • Any lines of symmetry
  • Any parallel lines

We went outside and tested each others knowledge of Area and Perimeter.

IDL – The Suffrage Movement

We continued to focus on the Suffragettes and the Suffragists, where we looked at a timeline of events that occurred during the Suffrage Movement.

We did some research and started to create our own timeline for our classroom display.

Thank you for reading this week’s blog post!

We hope you all have a great weekend 🙂

Hi readers,

Happy Friday!

Welcome to this week’s blog 🙂

Numeracy

To recap on decimals, we played decimal wars!

The aim of this game was to get the highest number using a pack of cards.

Topic – Protest Movements: The Suffragettes and The Suffragists

This week, we were introduced to our new topic that focused on the Suffrage Movement. We researched about the early campaigns for women’s suffrage and created a comparison poster that discussed the different tactics that the Suffragettes and the Suffragists used to campaign.

To create our posters, we used Canva!

We hope everyone has a lovely and relaxing weekend!
