Week Beginning 05.09.22 P6b Sorting Ceremony!

This blog was written by Daisy, Eva and Alfie!

Super Science

In science we were learning about chemical reactions. We did a science experiment where we had to draw a diagram of what happened in a test and it as very fun because it bubbled up!

We added vinegar, fairy liquid and bicarbonate of soda to see how they reacted.

We made house ties for each Hogwarts house and we also made big ones for the wall. The little ones were to keep as bookmarks.

We took a test to see what house we were in and had a Sorting Ceremony.

In Growth Mindset we described our perfect teacher. We thought they should be kind, find and a bit firm!

In Numeracy we did some really tricky problem solving where we had to move each character to a room they wanted to be in. It was trial and error!

In PE we practised our Netball skills by playing dodgeball and benchball.

In Literacy we Peer Assessed each other’s writing using specific examples of things we loved in their work!

We gave each other next steps to work on.

In HWB we read BEautiful Oops by Barney Saltzberg and made Mistakes art.

This showed us you can make nice things out of anything!
