In Literacy we have been reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and did a short comprehension with inferential questions. We had to look for clues in the text. I thought some of it was easy and some was challenging. – Mariam

In Maths we were practising our multiplication, division, addition and subtraction skills. Some of them had Harry Potter characters on them with different questions. We moved round to different tables with different types of questions on them. Some of the questions were quite hard like the 4 digit division and I found some easier like the bus stop division and subtraction. – Omar

In Art we were drawing potion bottles as our door theme will be ‘Potion Making Class.’ We will be finishing this off next week. – Varda

We have also been drawing the world through our eyes. This is where we drew eyes and a nose and the eyelashes were made up of words of things we like such as swimming or peacocks etc. – Aritri

We have also been researching our names to see what they mean and their origin. David means uplifting and beloved; Myra meant light, swift and admirable; Sophie means wisdom; Ismail means helpful, heard by God and ruler of Mars and Ethan means explains complex things easily. We added in if we agree or disagree with any of the points made on Google and give examples. – David

I found out that my name is from Arabic origin. – Isam

In Art we are going to be making a sketchbook so on Monday we designed our front cover for it with Mrs Hutchison. We were all given the same mirror template and we could attach that to anywhere on our sketchbook front cover. We had to include details about ourselves (such as what we like) on our cover. – Finn
