In PE we have been outdoors this week as the hall is being used. We have been doing athletics on a Monday and stations on a Thursday. This week our stations included basketball, capture the flag, relay races, ball games, parachute game and the orangutan.
In writing this week we wrote a poem called ‘I Am..’ which was all about us. We included information about ourselves (our hopes, dreams, fears, emotions) and made these personal and honest. We then re-drafted these and mounted them on paper which we decorated.
In maths and numeracy the Flawless Fractions were continuing work on fractions and learning about ordering fractions which we will continue to learn about. The Dedicated Decimals have been learning how to measure and draw angles. We used protractors to do this. The Marvellous Multipliers have also been learning about angles and learning the different names of angles (acute, right, obtuse, straight, reflex) and how to identify them.
We learnt about and created pop art this week. We traced images and then printed these images by drawing on the back of the tracing paper. We then used bright colours to colour these images in.
This weekend is the celebration of Eid. We learnt about Ramadan and Eid and some of the pupils in our class shared what their Ramadan had been like and what they were doing to celebrate. We then made cards to celebrate Eid. Eid Mubarak!
