In PE we have been developing our basketball skills.  We worked on dribbling, intercepting, dispossessing, passing and shooting.  We played different games to develop these skills.

In writing we wrote about a personal experience.  We could either write about ‘Someone I admire’, ‘The Happiest Day of My Life’ or ‘A Time When I was Scared’.  We were to ensure we had tried our best with our grammar, punctuation and spelling and included emotive language.

For Woodland this week we created an updated ‘bird’s eye’ map of the school and school grounds.  We walked around the perimeter of the school grounds to take account of the shape and design of the school grounds.  We also looked at old maps and then used these to create updated maps with a key.

In Maths and Numeracy we did different problem solving questions.  Some of these we worked on ourselves and others we did with a partner.  We discussed the different strategies and approaches we could use and shared our working and answers with the class.

In maths the Marvellous Multipliers were learning about the order of operations.  The Flawless Fractions have been learning about ml and litres.  The Dedicated Decimals have been learning about algebra.

We have started learning about persuasive languages and in Literacy and English have reading books which will support our skill development in this context.
