On Monday, we did a maths problem solving task called Powerlines where we worked with a partner from a different group. We were given numbers and circles connected as well as a total to make. We had to use all of the numbers and place then in the circles so that all the connected circles added to the total given. I really enjoyed it because it was fun. – Finn
On Monday afternoon we had our Christmas party and played games like Corners, musical statues and musical bumps. It was very fun! – Mariam
On Monday we also got to choose any piece of our writing which we would like to finish off. I chose the newspaper article about the Willy Wonka tickets. Some people then read their writing aloud to the class. – Zunairah
On Tuesday some P7’s came to our class and we did a Kahoot Quiz all about Christmas. – Finn
I thought it was really fun because there were mixed true/false Qs and also because me and Jamie won! – Zunairah

Mr Blackwood, the music instructor, came in to our class and brought some WW2 artefacts. He was talking about what each of the artefacts are, such as a medal which was given out to women who had 8 or more children, some hats and helmets. – Ismail
He taught us that in the 1900’s and during WW2 there were planes which looked like rockets and I remember they were called V1 and V2 with a 5 cylinder engine. – Finn
The first man couldn’t be put on the moon if it wasn’t for Germany because it was German engineering which created the jet engine. – Zunairah
He also brought in a photo of a very tall building which was built in 1938 and destroyed in 1939 because it was a big landmark in the war and planes flying through the sky would recognise that it was in Britain so they had to destroy it. He also brought in a book which had loads of German stamps in it and some were worth 5 million Deutsche Marks and other ones at 250,000 Deutsche Marks and these were to represent how much things were worth. – Finn
We learned that a loaf of bread would be a very low Deutsche mark amount and then it got much higher. – Murdo

Yesterday, P7’s came back to our class and we did some Christmas art. We drew a Christmas tree template and then cut it out and put it on a piece of card and then we painted designs on the card around the tree. Then we took the Christmas tree template off and it looked like a white Christmas tree with a coloured background. – Varda
