Monday

On Monday morning we did Literacy. Then we had break and after that we did maths. Some had the lovely Mrs Nasar, and the rest had Mrs Allan .Then after lunch we started to sort through our brilliant work to go into our Take Home Holders. Later, we had Mr Atkinson and we finished our origami triangles. These were called triarama and we made them to describe an animal habitat with writing on the bottom to describe the plants and animals that live there and a matching drawing on the sides.

 

Tuesday

On Tuesday morning we had the fabulous Mrs Nasar for STEAM and we wrote our letter to the council about wildlife conservation and how we could stop deforestation . Then we did maths with Mrs Allan and we worked on factors and time After lunch we went to Eastwood for our achievement assembly. We found out Arran won the trip to Heads of Ayr Farm Park!

Wednesday

On Wednesday we had our usual short blast of maths then we had pe. After break we did our final P5 writing on a full story that we have been planning with the setting of one of the 7 natural wonders of the world.  After lunch we watched  the p7 dress rehearsal. The show was called “What a Knight!” and lots of us had the last song stuck in our head after only one listen! The show was wonderful, fabulous and excellent. We give it 10/10 and the jokes were very funny.

 

Thursday

On our last Thursday morning we did maths and idl together with Mrs allan and Mrs nasar.  we had to figure out the cost of a trip to a 7 natural wonders of the world. We had to work out the costs of a flight, the hotel and a ticket to see the Wonder of the World.  Mrs Allan did not set a budget, so some of us revealed that we have expensive tastes… After lunch we organised our work and then we played Whats the Time Mr Wolf in French outside then we went home !

 

 

Friday

On our last Friday morning people in Arran went for their house trip. After break we did our blog and blog photos and then made cards for all the adults who help us in the school. Instead of MUGA in the hot sun, we played games in the shade!

Monday

 

In the morning we did comprehension using our Nelson books and then spelling .  In the afternoon we also did health and wellbeing with p5 boys from 5/6 then and we played a game called yes or no about feeling safe.

At the end of the day we went with Mr Atkinson and we started our presentations about deforestation. Deforestation is when you cut down forests to make space for something else, but it’s bad for the environment because it can destroy animals’ habitats so they don’t have anywhere to sleep.  If animals die because of deforestation is also affects the food chains. also, cutting down trees releases carbon dioxide into the air.

 

Tuesday

In the morning we done some mental maths to practice multiplying and dividing by 10,100, 400 and 500 and so on.  After break we had Mr Atkinson  and then we presented our deforestation presentations to each other using Google Slides.  After lunch we did kapla on the Grand canyon .   We had to show the strata (different rock layers) with the kapla bricks and we used the blue paper to show the Colorado River that shapes the Canyon.

 

Wednesday

 

In the morning we did some maths with mrs nasar and then we did some pe in the MUGA.

After break we did some writing after lunch we did talking and listening where we had to listen and follow instructions about colouring them different colours. After lunch we learned the Pitcurin volcano which is the youngest volcano.  It appeared after an earthquake on a farm in Mexico and grew to over 400m!

 

Thursday

In literacy we used our Big Cat books and everyone was  reading about Tara Binns! After break we did maths. we also had mrs Nasar then. In the afternoon we also practiced Spanish colours.

 

Monday

In the morning we did literacy.  We looked at settings and how authors hint at characters’ emotions. . After lunch we done health and wellbeing about body language and started our lesson on consent.

Tuesday

In the morning we did maths. After break we had Mr Atkinson we were practising our names backwards because we are going to use this to make up our own plant. Then we did a worksheet about vertebrates and invertebrates and it also had flowering and non-flowering plants. After lunch we decorated our buddie letters beautifully and added our photos.

Wednesday

In the morning we did some maths and then we went out for pe to practice stuff for sports day. After break we went in p1 classes to meet our buddies we went down to their class and we played with them and then we met their parents. Mrs Jamieson said we made an excellent first impression!

Ariyan showed us his Pokemon made from minirubix cubes that he mentioned in his personal talk.  We were very impressed!

Writing was on Wednesday afternoon instead of before lunch.  We worked together to describe the settings of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and then used senses to write a descriptive paragraph.

thursday

in the morning we did literacy and then we did some maths. The main event was sports day in the afternoon. Mrs Allan enjoyed taking photos on the space hoppers!  We had a new station for rugby where we had to dodge the pads and then run with the ball and run back.
