“On Thursday, we learnt about jobs in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s in Glasgow. We watched a video about shipbuilding in Glasgow. Then we had to make a job advert for a 1960’s shipbuilder. It had to say when you go to work, how much you get paid and the skills you would need.” Mason and Mueez

“On Friday we did some mindful listening outside. We had to close our eyes and stay quiet to think of all the things we could hear around us.” Jad

“In literacy, we practised summarising. We used the ‘nutshell’ technique. We watched a video about giraffes diving into a pool. After watching it we used the information to write a summary.” Arnav

“In R.M.E we learnt about Judaism.  Their holy book is a scroll called the Torah. It’s the same as the first part of the Bible.” Euan

“We wrote poems called limericks. They were silly stories with an AABBA rhyme pattern.” Euan

“In Science we were in groups. We made gears last week. We attached them to a piece of paper. We turned one around to see which way the other one goes. We found out that no matter how many gears you have, the odd numbered ones go the same way as the first and the even ones go the  opposite way. Then we got a stop watch, one person turned the gear and one person counted how many times it span around. We discovered that the smaller the second gear, the faster it goes.” Aiza
